And Ursula LeGuin...I have too many favorites of her's and it makes it all the more special that she is a Portland author. But of all her books, I would say 4 were most impactful on science-fiction/fantasty.

Sonja | 13 comments Ooh! I second The Left Hand of Darkness and the Earthsea Trilogy, but also - The Wind's Twelve Quarters, which contains two LeGuin stories I've never forgotten - Direction of the Road and The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas.
