SFF Readalongs led by Kitty G discussion

Hi guys, this is the thread for chapter 1 - start of chap 5 for book 1 of Theft of Swords. Please don't leave spoilers for any other part of the book, but do feel free to talk about your thoughts and feelings for the characters, pacing, plot etc. so far!

How do you like the set up?
Is the world building what you expected?
What do you think of our characters?

Wow, I applaud your patience. I read the entire Revelations series back-to-back and can't bear to read anything else in between. :)

I am rereading this via audiobook and really loving it! Tim Gerard Reynolds is really good at bringing the Riyria duo to life.

Again I can't help adoring Myron. What an absolute dear!!

Ahh I adore Myron :)

Had mixed feelings about this book, but after reading the first 5 chapters I am enjoying this book.

Enjoying how well Royce and Hadrian work well together. The first chapter cracked me up when they were stopped on the road by those bandits.

Enjoy how they chose their jobs where a group makes a decision whether they do the job or not.

Really hated the part were they were set up to take the fall for the death of the King. I really enjoyed how they got out with Alric.

Really didn't like Alric at first but he grew on me. Hope his character keeps growing.

Myron is so lovable and funny.

Cant wait to see what happens with the wizard they let out.
