Liz | 1 comments I was wondering if a movie was just a rumor or will it happen?

Eneyi | 12 comments It will Happen.Marc foster attached as director

Agnieszka Pawlikowska | 1 comments I can't wait, it'll be a blockbuster!

Brent | 1 comments Pierce Brown is working on the script for it (so I have heard) so that gives me high hopes that they will keep it solidly in line with the books or at least close to Pierce's vision. Either way though the story is so good it's almost impossible to ruin

Rebekah (jabberwockyslayer) This is so amazing! Do we have any idea of when it will come out? 2017 I'm guessing?

Melissa | 2 comments I hope the movie follows the books. I can't stand it when they change movies from books. The books are why the stories became so popular!

Bugra (s3vr0-) | 1 comments From Pierce Brown AMA:
There is (a movie) with Universal and Marc Forster set to direct. I do have some say. I wrote the first two drafts of the script, and am close with many people in the process. But much of letting it be a film is letting your art become the art of others.

I highly recommend to read the rest on Reddit.

Julie Sageau | 30 comments I would rather see a tv series. There is so much happening, it would take more than 3 seasons. I'm watching "The Last Kingdom" right now and I just see it. Plus there's a character named Ragnar :-)

Stephanie Leroux | 1 comments I absolutely agree with you Julie. I believe the trilogy would be so much better as a television series. There is so much that will be lost in translation from book to movie, whereas you could take your time with a series and really show the character development and allow world building to take place.

Tooms | 10 comments I don't think a TV series would have the budget for the scope and grandeur of some of the action. I think unfortunately a TV show would lose the scale of it all.

Diane | 10 comments I think a pay cable station could do it justice

Denise Alcaraz (inkshoe) In terms of making more money or increasing awarness for Pierce, I think a major blockbuster would do better. The young man deserves major success! As much as I'd like to see it in a Cable TV series, a movie is a better way to go. Pierce didn't make the books huge tomes like Outlander, so it could work for the silver screen! I don't mind changes from book to movie IF it makes sense without grossly changing the "idea" behind it. Not everything translates well from book to movie, I get it. VERY few books to movies please the hard core audience, but as long as it is done well, I'm happy. I think the best example of books to movies was Hunger Games, The Color Purple, and my all time favorite movie The Shawshank Redemption. Actually, TSR was better than the novella (Rita Haworthe and the Shawshank Redemption). I always hope for the purity of the novel, but that is a set up for disappointment. Our best hope now is that they actually green light the movie all the way thru to the finished product, prolly 2018.

Emilee Bash | 2 comments This is from 9 years ago but is there still talks of a movie? If not what happened, and if so when is it expected to make its debut? A movie would be fantastic!
