The seats were frigid and I put on the heater pronto. I kept rubbing my hands before I could manage to get a grip on the steering wheel. Even a coat, a cardigan and a fichu could not give me the desired warmth. Possibly, at that moment, his touch would have done wonders for me. With a deep sigh, I changed the gear and drove towards the exit. As most of the staff had already left, it was easy for me to leave the premises without facing traffic. The only hurdle at that hour was the cumbrous fog which was getting heavier with every passing minute.
While I was driving, my heart knew that I still did not want to go back home to greet the same faces, confront the same inquisitive eyes and my mom’s classic attitude that all would be well soon. So, I decided to spend some time alone and rejuvenate my senses.
