Character Roleplays discussion

Hello users of all ages, bodies, and minds! I hereby welcome you to our group! For those who are long time followers, I introduce myself to you again, for I now have an indefinite amount of time to spend here with you guys. I know school and work and life can get in the way of some fun in this virtual world, and that's just fine! I'm going to make a new goal to try and be more active here myself.

I want to tell you a story, however. I think it may be interesting to you. That, or it is just entertaining me and it's not that interesting at all, but anyway...

I turned 20 years old three days ago, and I have realized that since 2009, I have been connected to Goodreads and roleplaying for quite a few years. During that time I made so many really good friends who even to this day I am constant pen pals with. I discovered a few who even live in my same state of residence!!! I met people from across the world and experienced different perspectives and characters that I can't really get with just some Hollywood movies or TV shows. There's an authenticity to knowing that this character is portraying real struggles the writer has gone through in this lifetime. It makes me feel good, and if anyone knows me, I'm stubborn and I won't let that die or kill me.

I want to meet new people and roleplay with new friends! I want to feel these experiences all over again, but this time as an older and wiser person whose writing experience has just grown and grown from here.

But enough about me. Introduce me to you! This is a meet and greet topic to help get people back into the swing of things. :D I need to start friending a ton of people again so I can invite everyone to this group. In the mean time, let's chat!

Also, in regards to the copious amounts of roleplays we have stored in this group, some are very old but can always be reactivated again. Some are new and some still trucking on. Please feel free to join ANY roleplay that seems interesting to you and let me know if you need someone to roleplay with. I'll definitely join in!

So...I'm new-ish, again. I feel like a complete idiot now, because if you remember I use to role play on here daily and then I just seemed to die off, which I feel awful about.
I would love to get back into the swing of things again. If I'm allowed.
I have it on my phone now, so I'm more apt to look on more often as opposed to when I had no internet.

Hi there, I use to Roleplay on GR religiously between 2007-2010 (in an oooollld account) and when I got into highschool totally forgot about this whole world. However now I'm trying to get back into the swing of things as I thoroughly enjoyed the stories created and interactions made. I've been scrolling through several websites for the past two days and today decided GR was the best place for my kind of roleplaying but have yet to incorporate myself properly into an active RP (and have had a lot of trouble finding an active one, at that) so if you wouldn't mind, would you help me out a bit? I haven't found a place on here yet to type up a character sheet and I thought maybe we're just suppose to write and introduce the character as we go along? I'm not quite sure. Any tips would help as to how I might go about interacting on here would be great.

Hi Havok!!! Hello Dawn! It is nice to meet you. I"m glad you chose goodreads! And yes, we normally have character sheets. It's all about finding an active roleplay, which I admit hasn't been very active at all, and then starting something up. I think anyone who posts here in this newer forum should band together with me and we'll all vote on a roleplay that sounds really fun, I'll create it, and we can get started on it together in an active sense and really delve in to introduce a lot of people. How does that sound?
