The TV show sounds a bit more like a buddy crime comedy than a lost Godlike being trying to find a purpose for his life that the Graphic novel captured.
Then there's Mazikeen - his loyal companion and hopelessly in love with him. Never sympathized with a demon quite so much as I did with her unrequited love.

At the end of summer or the beginning of autumn. Something like that. I don't remember the exact date but it was quite some time ago. And I liked it very much!

My thoughts also.

I highly recommend the graphic novels

The actor playing Lucifer is awesome and I love that it's fun with just a hint of darker themes and ideas.
(I also love seeing the female cop is a character I loved from Chicago Fire. I actually quit watching after she got killed off.)

I was pleasantly surprised. Lucifer is funny as hell *pun intended* and the reasons for helping her make more sense than I expected. It's worth a try for the humour alone, I mean the way he acts around her daughter is usually funny.
One scene she runs up and hugs him. Clearly uncomfortable he picks up her doll, throws it and says "Well, go on, fetch."
She just laughs so he looks to the mother and says "What, too advanced for her?"
That particular scene amused me. It showed he had absolutely no idea what to do with kids but when he does speak to her, he treats her exactly as he would anyone else which for a kid is quite endearing. Who wants to be talked down to all the time?

I liked that the daughter said he was funny after telling her to fetch. I don't know why but that stuck with me.

So long as you don't watch it in the hopes of seeing a live action Lucifer comic... it's really enjoyable. One of those few programs I watch each week and actually look forward to.

And yes, that's Howard Stark :)

They made a huge deal of casting for A**eface and he was my least favourite character. The inability to understand him will be even more irritating on the TV show

Hopefully we also have Mazikeen's love of Lucifer also as a sub-plot.
That's all made so you can watch one week or another and not feel too left out and still enjoy the stand alone story.

Lol i totally agree, and the bacon. I love this show.
The graphic novels were mostly dark, with a touch of humor. Lucifer wasn't necessarily evil as much as he just didn't give a crap and was self absorbed.
The new TV show has him much more charismatic and humorous. Which of course I'm sure is required for a TV show.
Anyone planning on catching it?
