The book is about a boy from Canada who has wizardry powers from a stone called "Weirstone". He went to a school in Maine and it turned out that there are also wizards attending there. The wizard escaped the school with an lawyer enchanter who knows about his powers. After he got away, he was taken to an small town in Ohio. He met other wizards and the two warriors who rebelled against the wizard's rules in "The Games" in the 1st book, "The Warrior Heir"
