Each number corresponds with the spot on the board.
For colors: The cover has to be at least 50%
For locations: As long as the book takes part at all in the given location .
For Shelves: Any book on the given shelf
For Publication Years: I'll be using how GR has it's publication date listed.
For Authors Names: The first, middle, or last name of the author is ok.
For Cover Items: Must have the given item on the cover
For Titles: Only the first word of the title. A, An, And, and The do not count.

Yay team!! Hi all! I've got one day of vacation left, so I've been a bit absent from Goodreads, but I'm excited to come back to this game!

Hello Team 5!!! Nice to meet all of you (and re-meet some) :D. My name is Allison or Al (I use Allison Ann on GR to distinguish me from the hordes but when people call me that I always feel like I'm in trouble for something) and I live in Northwestern Ontario in CST time zone. Today is my 46th birthday and I just kicked all my guests out so I could check and see what team I'm on. ;) Not really, it's bloody well freezing out there and time for everyone to roll home anyway, but I did spend most of dinner boring everyone with GR talk.

Looking forward to another round of SS. I'm only slightly bitter that we can't physically land on "Canada" for our first round, but I promise to get over it quickly. Talk to you all later.

I'm mostly mood reader and can read almost everything (I do try to stay away from horrors and non-fiction). Lately, most of my books tend to be m/m but it's not rule. :)

I think I missed only last round of the game and before I was switching between SS & SSS (or both)


I might disappear at one point for duration of one roll. I'll be going on business trip and won't be having internet during that time.

I should start by saying, I don't want to be captain.

I'm from Ontario, California. I am generally a mood reader, and I tend to read series books. I can read at least a book a week sometimes more depending on my mood. Last time I played this I really got to catch up on some series and start some series I had been looking at, so I'm hoping that happens again!

I don't really know if this will matter now, but I wanted to let you all know ahead of time that I will be traveling from March 1st through March 15th in Germany. I already checked the dates and everything so I should have no problem posting books while I'm away.

I don't mind being captain if nobody else wants the job. Someone else would have to fill in for the roll on Feb 12, though - I'll be on a mini-vacation to London Thursday to Sunday, so I might not be available to roll that Friday. Unless either of you is keen on being captain, Allison & Logan? Or Tea, if your schedule allows apart from the business trip?

I don't really want to be captain, mostly because of time zones. I think midnight is around 6-7am for me so I wouldn't be able to catch those last minute posts if we have those.
Not to mention that you don't really want me to roll. In one the challenges I just rolled 4th #2 in a row. :)

I'd love to be captain because I adore planning and keeping lists and bossing people around ;) but I really don't have access to the internet much. I don't take many days off (today is probably it for January) and I work in a shack with no internet access, so I generally don't show up online until around 8 p.m. my time. So I'm never around when things begin and end. So I'd vote for Denise to be captain and I could certainly take over the rolling the week you are gone, because if I try really hard I can stay up until midnight. :D More realistically I can sleep three hours, wake up at 1 a.m. and spend the rest of the night tossing and turning (and reading), but same difference right?

I suck at making up names and I'm perfectly happy with either choice (as long as we take the apostrophe out of High 5ers, because that would keep me awake nights). I could accept a dash (High 5-ers) if that would help. I say flip a coin to choose if no one has a preference.

Allison....you're funny. I hope your day was fun.

Let's go with 5 star reads. Allison hates the apostrophe and I despise it without and with the dash. It makes me want to correct it.

I know I am not on your team, but "Satis-Five" is one of the most creative names for a Team 5 I have seen. I will have to keep this somewhere for a future team of mine :D

I don't care. This shouldn't be this difficult, just pick something. Whatever gives you more votes than anything else is the team name.

Right then, since people are now either happy or don't give a you-know-what, we're going to be High Fivers and that's that.

I have now read two 5 star books in a row. After a string of really really crappy reads this is outstanding. I'm a happy reader right now. I also choose to find this a good omen for Team 5!

I'm about halfway through my book (had another one to finish today first) and I should really learn to read the covers of books that people give me before I read them. Apparently is paranormal YA romance, possibly my least favourite genre after horror. Oh well at least the wolves aren't sparkly. :D I'll be finished tomorrow.

Review: I started this book without knowing what it was about and quickly found a paranormal YA romance - not my favourite though I probably would have loved this series when I was 15. That being said, the writing was quite good and once the love interest got turned into a wolf and could no longer quote poetry/song lyrics and the smoochy bits stopped, the story was interesting. She ended the book on a cliffhanger and since I have the next two books sitting here, I'm sure I'll read them eventually. Recommended to people who like YA romance and/or are actually 15.

Review:

Together with his associate Leana, he is tasked with investigating the disappearance of a bishop. Upon their arrival, however, they are informed that the missing man has been found - in pieces. One murder investigation soon turns into two and more, as further mutilated bodies turn up. And on top of dealing with the search for a brutal killer while having to navigate an unfamiliar city and culture, Lucan and Leana are also entrusted with another highly important task by Koton's queen: to protect her daughter, on whose life several attempts have recently been undertaken.

Much like with the first book in the series, the excellent combination of mystery, fantasy and historical elements makes for an intriguing plot in a fascinating world. Hopefully we'll get to explore even more of the different corners of the universe Newton's masterful worldbuilding skills have created here in the following installments of the series.
