THE ALTERNATES:
Each number corresponds with the spot on the board.
For colors: The cover has to be at least 50%
For locations: As long as the book takes part at all in the given location .
For Shelves: Any book on the given shelf
For Publication Years: I'll be using how GR has it's publication date listed.
For Authors Names: The first, middle, or last name of the author is ok.
For Cover Items: Must have the given item on the cover
For Titles: Only the first word of the title. A, An, And, and The do not count.
So if the letter is B: The Best Day would be ok. Dear Betty would not be ok.

Hi, I've only been active on goodreads for a few months and this will be my first group challenge. I'm really looking forward to this. I took a look at my TBR pile, which I think will carry me throughout several lifetimes. I love continuing characters, so there are hundreds of series books I want to read. This challenge will definitely help.

Thanks! Se7en sounds good to me. I don't have any series with #9 ready to read, but I'll go with the alternate. The Art of Detection. It's the last book of the series so I'll actually be able to finish a series! Usually, I'm queen of unfinished series.

I don't have any series that high either but luckily California is pretty easy. I have a couple of options for this one, just have to decide which one I will pick.

I finished Rosemary and Rue today (17th January 2016). I would give it a solid 3 out of 5 stars (which in my world means I liked it). It is the first book in a series, but it is set in California which is the alternate for this week.

It was a fun and rewarding read. I'm not a huge fan of the who-dunn-it style but I do like Seanan Mcguire and also enjoyed her Indexing. I like the fact that it feels like she has always done her research properly, so her fairies aren't just fairies for the sake of it. They're embedded in the traditional legends. Her characters are also always very real and she adds an additional layer of insight to her fun stories. This book has been waiting on my Kindle for a while and I'm so glad I was finally prodded into reading it. I will definitely keep going with this series.
