Rob | 3 comments I just finished "Gospel Gems" by Jared Wilson. It was a wonderful read. He quotes widely, has wonderful word pictures, and offers some helpful thoughts about the Gospel.

My favorite book is the "Gospel Primer" by Milton Vincent. But I have read that 3 times.

I've read it multiple times too, and plan to read it again this year. I recommended it under the category of less than 100 pages. It's a great book.

Laura (Book Scrounger) (bookscrounger) | 22 comments I'm currently reading Luke: The Gospel of Amazement by Michael Card, and it's very intriguing. He has one for each gospel, and I'm sure the others are just as good.

Amy M (library4lyfe) | 5 comments I also read Onward: Engaging the Culture Without Losing the Gospel. It wasn't what I'd expected, but it's a good book.

and

Both by John MacArthur. I have read the first one, The Gospel According to Jesus. Excellent book. I plan on reading the second one, The Gospel According to the Apostles, for this challenge.

message 11: by Jane (new)

Jane Fischer | 72 comments I just finished The Gospel for Muslims An Encouragement to Share Christ with Confidence by Thabiti M. Anyabwile

Fairly fast read and encouraging to be reminded that the gospel is for ALL people for ALL time so have confidence and don't focus on how much you know or if you can answer all the questions.

message 12: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Moses | 7 comments I'm currently reading "The Gospel According to Moses". It's about some Jewish traditions from long ago that are still around today. Understanding how Moses and the Lord Himself lived on the earth help us draw closer to God.

K B (kbcook) | 182 comments The Defense Never Rests: A Lawyer's Quest for the Gospel, by Craig A. Parton -- an excellent recount of this man's search for the legitimate Gospel and a church that delivers it. He found it in when he found the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, which teaches that "the church is the gathering of the saints and those who truly believe, among whom the gospel is rightly taught and the sacraments are rightly administered." (The Augustana)

K B (kbcook) | 182 comments A quick and to the point read for today: The Art of Law and Gospel, by RJ Grunewald -- I especially like the chapter on BS theology!

message 15: by K B (new)

K B (kbcook) | 182 comments Law and Gospel: A Theology for Sinners (and Saints), by William McDavid, Ethan Richardson, David Zahl -- I liked the writing style of Grunewald's book better but this is a great subject
