Discworld Publication Order Read Through discussion

TO be honest, I really just wanted to use that pun before someone else did.

Mort has been a standout favourite so far in the Discworld novels. Like what Pigletto had said in the previous thread, there is a polish that the first three simply did not have.

I'm catching up with the rest the group! I finished Mort so I should be on track for this month's book.

The Death series has always been my favorite. I love how odd and curious he is. There was a part that sort of made me sad. It describes how he came into being at the beginning and will be there til after the last creature is dead, alone. Like, who takes care of Death?

Then I noticed one thing that bugged me. During the fight between Mort and Death, Mort's lifetimer is running. Shouldn't it be paused? They were in Death's house. Albert's lifetimer stops. He says he has 90ish days left at some point in the book and they only get used when he's in the real world.

Also I really liked the new universe seed at the end. Cool idea. It made me happy since Terry Pratchett isn't around to write anymore. I can pretend there's a new Discworld somewhere.
