Maggie was obviously still traumatized by her experience with Albert Stuckey. Should the director have stood his ground and not let her take on the Platte City case?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments Since all this was in the past [when our book began], I didn't have any idea about this. Were there requirements to fulfill a psychological counseling period that she failed to undergo? If so, what kind of director would have allowed her in the field alone, even if she was the best?

Good questions, Charlene, ones I pondered myself. I thought it mandatory that FBI agents have psychological testing following this kind of trauma. Another area where I had to suspend belief. And why was she alone?

Good question. Feebie's usually travel in pairs :0)

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I don't think a criminal profiler works with a partner. The field agents probably do. A profiler usually work alone and work on several cases at one time.

On Criminal Minds they never go alone:)

Ha ha!

Yes it didn't seem as if she was really ready to return to work.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Maggie is a profiler but she is also a field agent - isn't she? I can't remember.

She's a special agent and profiler.

Melissa (melissasd) | 194 comments I could go in either direction on this one. She may have needed more time to get over the incident with Stuckey, but it also may have been good for her to get back to work. Keep her busy and her mind off Stuckey. No one knew that this guy would use Stuckey against her. I didn't think about whether she had gone through counseling or the whole partner aspect. Good points everyone!

What bugged me was she lied to her boss about it, knowing she wasn't ready. But, I completely understood her motivation. Sometimes it just feels like if you get back out there it will help.

Mary Beth | 193 comments I agree Jonetta that getting back out there would help, Especially doing something that she loves. It would help her I think to get on another case and get her mind off of it. I dont think she should of lied though.
