Writers are winded. We love writing and tend to go overboard. This is fine if you have a book in your hands, a blog with a clear understanding that you are going to be there for an hour reading 1,000 word long articles.

But at the Convention, you will already be contending with a lot of info. Just something to keep in mind. If you post anything lengthy, there is a chance you will decrease your readership. You may want to keep posts brief, to the point, and simple to read. Don't overburden your reader or complicate a giveaway. You want the experience to be fun and easy for them. Frustration and impatience are the offspring of cyber instant-gratification. If a site loads too long, if a site reads unclear.

Web designers say you have 3 seconds to appeal to a reader. In 3 seconds, you hook them or loose them. 3 seconds. What will keep you longer than three seconds? Something to think about when you give your answers to interviews or offer book reviews or even a book summary.

In traditional publishing, book blurbs are not to exceed 120 words. Instead of a summary, consider a log line. Have your "elevator pitch" ready for the convention.

Also, consider having your bio posted on your thread as well. You do have a bio, right? They should be written in 3rd person so as to "not intimidate the reader".
