I am not accepting anymore Book Excerpts for Readings after 15 March 2016! I will only be focused on set after that point. Get them in while you can!

Don't all of you jump at me at once... *smile*

For those who don't know, I conduct book readings. For the convention, I will be holding book readings. Here are my guidelines:

1 - No graphic or explicit content. Keep the excerpt PG-13 or milder.

2 - I can not read more than 700 words of an excerpt. You're either sending me a short chapter or an excerpt. I will be checking word count prior to reading and if you go way over the word count, I'll be emailing you to ask for something less or something else.

3 - I want this reading ASAP! I will not have the time to go through and read all the entries in a weekend.

4 - I must have your permission to do this... legally... in writing... or my attorneys will never forgive me. When you send your excerpt, include a "I am the author, I hold all rights to this work, and I approve this reading." Without this, I can not record and post. I mean I could, but then I would be liable.

5 - After the recording, I will send you the link and you can do whatever it is you want with it. I recommend using it for the Cyber Convention.

If you're looking for something a bit different, my book Fairy Tale Fusion has a selection of fictional news bites based on fairy tale characters. One of them might make a good reading.

I'd be glad to send you the first part of Book 1 of my urban fantasy series, Love, Lies, and Hocus Pocus - the Lily Singer Adventures (humorous modern fantasy). The books don't come out until April, however, will that be a problem? They go up on pre-order on Amazon in March. Let me know if you still want it, and I'll email you the necessary info

Great, what part do you want? I mean, as of now it is still just a .doc file and its 200+ pages long, so should I just pick a section to send you? Or just send you chapter 1?

I did get your excerpt. This was a resend? I have a number of read throughs to still get done. I will try to get these done tomorrow. My kids had snow days and I lost the time I slotted to read :( YIKES!

I am glad you did receive them. Disregard my email question then. It just seemed like it wasn't getting through. What a relief that it did get there.
