Maggie is overly concerned about her professional appearance, needing to present a specific type persona to be taken seriously. Are her concerns well founded?

I think they are. She wears tailored suits, self conscious about her petite stature and is very focused on her posture and bearing whenever she first shows up on a scene. She knows the first impression is going to be she's female and maybe not "as good" as the traditional FBI agent and profiler. Maggie's very careful to not make the climb out of that hole that much harder.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I think you're right, Jonetta. I wonder if she'll stay this way in future stories, or if there will be a change [outward and/or inward].

Melissa (melissasd) | 194 comments I agree. Being a female in the FBI is hard and her appearance shows confidence and authority. It shows that she means business and I felt it got her respect from others.
