There's a little forest near their territory

Harpe landed and looked behind her. "Terracotta?" She asked in a whisper.

Terracotta landed behind with two squeals in his talons. "Snack" he asked handing her one.

Harpe ate it and smiled gratefully "Thanks." She said, and looked around. "So where's the palace.."

"This way" terracotta said happily as he lead the way eating his meal.

Harpe followed him, glancing at the trees warily

Terracotta lead Harpe throw the forest to the mudwings palace as the mud sunk between his claws he felt home already.

Harpe shook mud off of her talons miserably. She thought it was weird that dragons liked it here, but she had promised to find his parents, so she went with him.

Fjord flew around the forest, relaxing. He had been free for a month now, and his freedom had proven to be amazing. He however, hadn't been going anywhere in particular, just moving around aimlessly. He flapped his wings and landed beside a small river, laying down and staring at it, thinking.

Diamondshard stood out like the only star in a dark sky. Her black scales did her no good to roam around secretly during the day. The small Nightwing landed on a tree, trying to fit in as a kinda large blackbird when she heard a noise

Fjord started splashing a bit the water on the riverside. He wished he could just jump inside, but the simple thought of it made him want to pull his claws out every time he made a splash. He was far too distracted to notice anything else.

Diamondshard leapt to the ground, her talons touching the ground silently. She focused on the figure in the water. "Hmmm" she murmured to herself. Doesn't this Seawing know that the Seawings enemy is the Mudwing's in this war? she wondered curiously to herself. Diamondshard moved a bit closer, realizing how he hesitated with every splash. Was something wrong. The small Nightwing was almost to the creek now

Fjord sighed and layed down. He couldn't focus on anything at the moment. His mind kept going back to what would happen if he got into the water... nothing good... but he really wanted to!

He thought he heard something behind him, but he dismissed it as nothing and kept enjoying the splashing sound he did with the water.

Diamondshard leapt upwards, landing in the tree behind him. She sized him up, just in case they had a 'unpeaceful' introduction. After seconds of hesitation, she leapt down, gently poking him with her talon. "Hello" she said cheerfully

Fjord reacted instantaneously at the touch. He jumped really high with a rather comical yelp before landing upside down and breathing rapidly. He looked at her and rapidly stood, trying to keep some of his dignity. He tripped and fell face first trying that. "Well... if you're here to end my suffering now's a good time," he said totally embarrassed, saying it as a joke but his voice was shaking due to the scare.

Diamondshard blushed, embarrassment gnawing at her. She had almost yelped along with him, surprised by his movement. "Oh, I'm sorry, did I scare you?" She asked playfully with a smile. "I leave the 'ending of suffering' thing to the other Nightwings" she joked, going along with it

Fjord smiled slightly, although he was still kinda shocked and heavily embarrassed. "Well," he slowly stood up, trying to keep what dignity he had left. "That's reassuring!" he chuckled. "Name's Fjord," he said presenting himself. "And you are...?"

"Diamondshard" The young Nightwing replied. Her eyes glistened with curiousity. "Hmm, what's a Seawing doing in Mudwing territory? Aren't they enemies in the war?" she asked, wanting to get to the point.

Fjord looked confused. "War?" He hadn't hear about it. Wait, he had heard bits and pieces but he couldn't make out anything about it with what he knew. "I know there's something, I just don't know much about it," he said shrugging. "I'm just... going around? I've got nowhere to go so I guess I'm just going aimlessly," he said. That probably sounded suspicious. Would it make her think he was lying?

Diamondshard picked up on his stutters and lack-of-confidence but let it roll off. "Makes sense" she decided not to push on the hesitation with water. "Must be nice to be left alone to wonder" she personally hated being independent

"I mean, alone is nice. I've never been alone before and this is actually nicer than before," he said truthfully. "However, being alone all the time isn't nice. I do get to overthink things, you know." He considered something. "What is a nightwing doing here alone?"

Diamondshard looked a little baffled by the question. "Can a Nightwing not be alone in a forest?" She asked, pretending like she was highly offended

Fjord chuckled. "Hey, you're free to roam! Freedom," he said, seeming to beam as he said it. "is the most amazing thing!" He smiled. "So yeah. More like what're you doing, just curious."

Diamondshard agreed with him. Freedom was nice. "Just pondering what the Skywings and Mudwings are doing is all" she sounded innocent without even realizing it

He smiled. "Well, at least nothing's happened here since I arrived." he said. "So, what's up with this war? Why're they fighting?" he asked, laying down beside the water.

"Apparently the Skywings had Icewings fight in the arena or something. Queen Iceflake wasn't happy about that" Diamondshard informed curiously. "I guess a war was bound to happen soon anyway"

He looked at her perplexed. "That's... good to know." Fjord thought for a second. "Hey... uhhh... you see..." he suddenly appeared very shy. "I've been, you know... wandering without any place to go..." he said. "Maybe, uhh, could you... I don't know... if you've got nowhere else to go, I mean..." he said all this barely understandable. He suddenly froze and sighed. "I'm terrible speaking to strangers..." he muttered. "And I'm probably a weirdo already. I totally understand if you wanna go now..."

Diamondshard thought all this stuttering was a little cute. "It's alright" she gave him a friendly smile. "I would love to stay and hang out.
If that's what you're asking"

He beamed. "Thanks!" He thought for a moment. "Hey... do you know who's side SeaWings are on the war?"

"They're with the Icewings, silly!" Diamondshard chirped, rolling onto her back. "Im just glad that the Nightwings are allied with the Seawings too! Though, they're kinda neutral"

"Oh! I am... glad to hear that! So... that means we are not gonna just fight over something that, in theory, really doesn't concern us," he said happily. He though for a moment and then smiled mischievously. He used his tail and splashed some water unto the unsuspecting nightwing playfully. He had always wanted to splash water at someone, after all.

Diamondshard yelped as water droplets touched her smooth black scales. She was surprised at how cold they were. "That's not funny!" She tried not to laugh but failed miserably. "Now I'm wet" she tried to look like a miserable dragonet

Kellian laughed. "Sorry! I had to! It was the perfect opportunity, and it is payback for the little scare from before," he said between laughs. Her reaction had been great, and he couldn't stop laughing.

Diamondshard giggled a bit, "Hmmm, well revenge is best served hot and ready" she replied, fire escaping her mouth. She bursted a flame at him, making sure not to hit him before pushing him back into the water gently

"What?!" he exclaimed surprised as the flame missed him and distracted him. He staggered back as she pushed him and fell on the water, panic taking him for a second as he splashed down. The water enveloped him and, as he opened his eyes and noticed he was on the water, he rapidly got out as fast as he could. "Helpmeouthelpmeouthelpmeout!" he said panicking as he staggered out of the water.

Diamondshard's eyes softened as she yelled silently at herself. She rushed to his side, worry glistening in her eyes. "Fjord, I'm so sorry" she glanced side-ways, her cheeks red with embarrassment and worry.

Fjord stagger outside and laid down, almost hyperventilating. He looked at her and saw how worried she looked and he forced himself to calm down. "Don't worry about it! You didn't know..." he said, a faint smiled forming. "I... you will think this is ridiculous!" he said chuckling and embarrassed. He breathed in and rapidly exclaimed "I am afraid of water."

Diamondshard relaxed a bit when she heard his calm voice. Regret gnawed at her. She originally just thought he was lonely. But this was a whole new level. "Afraid of water?" she tilted her head, tail swaying slowly. She wanted to remain quiet, but her voice quickly betrayed her mind, "Were you even born in the Seawing Kingdom?" she asked. "Three moons, I'm sorry for going that personal! Curiosity just gets the best of me, I guess" she had a small smile

He chuckled. He was still a bit panicked but he made himself appear calm so she didn't worry. "Don't worry, it's not really a, well, topic I don't like to talk about." He stepped away from the water, trying to make it look natural but he obviously just wanted some space between him and it. "I was born somewhere around the kingdom of the sea. I don't remember it though. I was kidnapped before I even remember anything," he said, not really bothered by answering the question.

Diamondshard nodded, sadness seeping into her eyes. "That must be awful" she whispered, her tail going still. "I can't imagine that feeling of not growing up with your parents" she kept her gaze low, refusing to show her sadness to Fjord

Fjord smiled. "Don't worry about it! I have honestly gotten over it a long time ago. It's just... everything I know, so I don't know any better." He looked around. "And well, now in free and I want to go around Pyrrhia. I still don't know where to go though. If I weren't afraid of water I'd love to go to the kingdom of the sea."

Diamondshard felt rather crushed about the whole situation. "Freedom is important to you" she realized out loud without noticing it. "Maybe one day, you'll overcome your fear"
