Michelle (mostlymiddlegrade) I found that the language in White Hunger really drew me into the world. This story has really lingered with me after reading it.

The following question about the epilogue should probably only be viewed after finishing the novella.

Paul Fulcher (fulcherkim) Michelle - I was going to ask exactly the same question! But my answer....

Jill (jillreads) | 48 comments I thought it was written beautifully and as Michelle mentioned above, I feel as though it will linger with me rather than being quickly forgotten. The length of the book had both positive and negative aspects for me (as is the case with most short stories for me). Because of the brutal & sad tone I felt almost relieved that it was not longer, yet I would have liked some of the characters to be more fully drawn out at times as well. Did anyone else feel this way?
I did not understand the epilogue, so I was glad to see Michelle and Paul bring that up too. The link between all the dreams/visions in the book and the epilogue possibly being allegorical seems logical.
