This is the April adult read hosted by me!!! I will admit that one of my main motives for picking this book is the fact that my mum gave it to me, so I need some more motivation to read it. Having said that, my mum gave me about thirty books and this is one of about four that I actually kept, so I do find the concept of this book really intriguing and am looking forward to reading it! This is a historical fiction set in Germany.

"This novel tells the story of the orphaned daughter of a cabaret dancer and her rise from poverty and anonymity to film stardom, all set against the rise and fall of Berlin, the background of WWI, the debauchery of the Weimar era, the run-up to WWII, and the innovations in art and industry that accompanied it all."

I am not sticking to any sort of reading schedule, but for those who would like one, here is the book split into four weeks:

Week 1: Beginning- "The Countess"
Week 2: "The Countess"- "The Uhlan"
Week 3: "The Uhlan" - "The Inflation"
Week 4: "The Inflation" - The End

Please leave a comment letting me know if you will be reading this book and I will add you to the list below:

Jacqueline (Fall In Love With The Sound of Words) (jackey_oh) This book sounds really good, and I believe I had even voted for it! Unfortunately Through April and May I plan to really put a dent in my ARC pile, especially Netgalley, so I won't be reading this. Looks fun though, I hope you all enjoy :)

I might not get to this book this month, although I would like to. If not, I will probably remove it from my TBR.
