***If you do not have access to your partner's shelf, please send a friend request to your partner!***

You now have one week to decide amongst yourselves how many books you will pick for each other, and to make those choices.

You can chat with your partner either here or by PM- PREFERABLY BY PERSONAL MESSAGE SO THAT THIS BOARD IS NOT CLUTTERED UP.

Either way, all of you MUST do a post on here this week that is similar to the example that I did on the first post:

My name: Jenny
My partner: Sarah
The books picked for me: Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer The Hunt (The Hunt, #1) by Andrew Fukuda
Cinder (read 3/16/2015)- 4 stars. Intriguing premise, great characters, and a really cool retelling that was unfortunately plagued by predictability.
The Hunt (read 3/28/2015)- 4 stars. The Hunt had lots of suspense, admirable lead characters, and kept me scared and nervous.

Note that you have until the end of May to read the books and edit/fill in the information/short review at the bottom.
Have fun!

The books picked for me:
Wild Swans Three Daughters of China by Jung Chang
50 pages from ending. This book is amazing. It tells the story of three generations of women from china. The author is the third generation. The book goes form 1909 to 1978. This seems more like a saga then a book. Each women led compete different life. There is so much hardship in this book but triumph as well. From what I've read so far I rate this book 4 stars.
The Goose Girl (The Books of Bayern, #1) by Shannon Hale
Read Date 4/10/2106. I really enjoyed reading this book. A great coming of age story with, a bunch twist and turns which kept me on the edge of my seat. I found this book hard to put down epically around the last 150 pages or so. A great book to read. 5 stars.
Witchling (Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon #1) by Yasmine Galenorn
Read Date 4/18/2016 I find it hard to write this mini review. I didn't really like or dislike this book. It was inserting but I never really got into it. Some of the logic of the book made no sense to me. I know that probably funny wanting logic in a fantasy book. Anyways.... I rate this book 3 stars.
Audrey's Guide to Witchcraft (Audrey's Guides, #1) by Jody Gehrman
Read Date 4/22/2016
This book had be hooked from page 2. I couldn't put it down. I finished it in two days. I just wanted to know what was gonna happen next. 5 stars.

The Book of Ivy (The Book of Ivy, #1) by Amy Engel - (read 03/28/16). 4.5 stars. I loved the main characters in this book and their relationship. I didn't like the last 10% but it made me want to start the next one immediately.
Looking for Alaska by John Green sadly i had to dnf this one. I was halfway through the book and i still wasn't enjoying it so I decided not to push myself to read something I don't like.

Winger (read 03/31/16) - 4 Stars. I really enjoyed the Ryan Dean West Shenanigans. My favorite part has to be the 'Screaming Ned' that was too funny. I'am really sad about that ending.

Days of Blood & Starlight (read 05/16/16 - 5 Stars. Just like the first one I loved it. Beautiful writing. Well written characters

Half Way Home by Hugh Howey 4 stars
I really liked this one! It was a fun, quick read for me. The Sci-Fi elements were awesome, as well as the suspense. I had no idea what was going to happen next!

Unbeautiful (Unbeautiful, #1) by Jessica Sorensen 4 stars!
I really enjoyed this one! I had no idea what was going on at first, but WOW, it wasn't anything like I was expecting! I loved that the story was so much more than a NA romance. Going to have to get the sequel soon!

Ashly (ashlyh) I just finished Winger (Winger, #1) by Andrew Smith and I gave it 4 Stars. I really enjoyed the Ryan Dean West Shenanigans. But he was immature and mean. My favorite part has to be the 'Screaming Ned' that was too funny. Also why did that ending have to happen?, it came out of nowhere and why that character? :(

message 22: by Jen (new)

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments I have to say, this could be going better. I'm reading I Hope You Find Me (Find Me #1) by Trish Marie Dawson and the narrator is leaving a LOT to be desired.
I'm also listening to Where the Road Takes Me by Jay McLean and while I love Nick Podehl and Laura Hamilton, the story is so ridden with cliches that I think my eyes are going to roll right out of my head.
I'm going to keep going with both books but I sure hope the stories get redeemed by some amazing plot twist or writing!

I'm aiming to pick up the 5th book in the Wait for You series - so far it's been fairly good. I think I'm going to re-read her Lux series too. Apple's new OS for iPod/iPhone has saved several books with bad narrators for me!
