I have a TBR list that I go by on my computer. I put one or two stars by the ones that I think I want to try to get to next to prioritize. Then I put the date read beside the name of the book after I have read it to get it off the "to-read" list. BUT, a lot of times I hear about books, people recommend books, I get emails from different websites, and you people here at Goodreads tell me about new & wonderful books that I must read, and these all get in the way of the ones on my list! So, I have a plan, I just don't always stick to it ;)

Unfortunately going to the library plus constantly picking up new books means my unread book pile never goes down, this is despite telling myself I am not buying any for a few months.

A "spreadsheet"! A woman after my own heart! ;)

I think my husband regrets the day he taught me Excel....
Goodreads has decided that my next read is Son. It just showed up on my currently reading shelf. So that is next after the 4 books I currently have going.

I have a list on my computer and I usually pick what is next though if I am not feeling like reading that topic I will go on to the next book.

Me too- library books all the way and a occasional book from the book store especially is there is a good coupon. My office is across from the free shelf at the library and I always finding something good there to read. But not enough time to read.

Yes, time is a limiting factor :).

Not if you quit your job, abandon housework and refuse all sleep, food and drink. Just saying.

Not sure if my family would cooperate. Something about the responsibilities of being a parent and all of that sort of thing.

If I did that, they'd all come at once and I'd never get through them. I already take out more than I can read when I get involved in too many reading challenges and reading groups. I like the social aspects of Goodreads and when Shelfari put up the Pink Banner of Death was like a kid in a candystore. I opted out of a few groups I joined at the beginning that were too much, but now that Leafmarks has put up its Pink Banner of Death, my count has gone up again. BUT the plus side of that is fewer places to go to find them, so it's actually easier. I'm also careful about challenge groups, even though I love playing games and doing challenges. I only have so much time to read.

I know. I sometimes spend more time on the social part of the book sites than I spend reading. So I stop corresponding for awhile and just read..... then I start missing everyone and the whole cycle starts all over again!! Oh brother!
