What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

A trilogy I think, takes place in the Bayou, H is a model doing a shoot and overhears a conversation, a hurricane is coming in and she's running, trying to hide from the guys she overheard, who are now trying to kill her. H lives in the bayou, Cajun I think, and he finds her and takes her to his place deep in the swamp. Hides and protects her from the bad guys.
There's a second book about his brother.
Harlequin or Silhouette, older book.

It's been a while since I read them, but Tami Hoag had a series of books that sounds similar to your description. May have been published too recently though...here's the first in the series. The Restless Heart
