Everyone likes awards, right? And who says the Hugo crowd gets to have all the fun?

First of all, our affiliated FB group, Conservative Libertarian Fiction Alliance has come up with member-nominated finalists for the Book of the Year Award. Some of the members here are on the list. Final voting will be open to the public. More details here:

Also, for SFF fans looking for an alternative to the Hugos that actually reflects fans' preferences, Dragoncon is starting the aptly named Dragon Award. Voting is open now. No fuss, no cost.

Dragon Awards? Cool. Has anyone nominated Declan yet? I went to the nomination page. If that's been done already I'd rather not fill all that out. But, if he needs nominated., I'll do it.

Still undecided if his book is horror or YA. Because fantasy is so crowded, he's unlikely to get anywhere. But I think horror is a possibility since it's vampires.

That's what I was thinking too. It would be awesome to get him over the hump. A rising tide lifts all boats. Or so the beat to death saying goes.
