Patricia | 20 comments I'm starting this month with Mary Boleyn: The Mistress of Kings - I love Allison Weir and her Tudor biographies.

Annice (asevett) | 37 comments I started reading Redemption Road by John Hart and am loving it. I'm not sure how I haven't read his books before but they are great for fans of mysteries. Wonderful character development and it is set in small town North Carolina.

Carla (writeon1913) I'm currently reading The Weekenders by Mary Kay Andrews who I have been a fan of since I first discovered her book Hissy Fit years ago. I always enjoy her stories.

The Weekenders is set on an island near Wilmington so there are mentions of Southport, Wrightsville Beach, and a few other locations.

However I am ready to throttle the daughter in this book. She's one of those surly teens to her mom, but tolerable to others. I am over that character in books.

Annice (asevett) | 37 comments Over the weekend I read Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson and I Will Find You by Joanna Connors.

Although Brown Girl Dreaming is a juvenile book, I believe everyone should read it. It tells the story of the author's upbringing in Ohio, South Carolina and Brooklyn during a time when Jim Crow was still on the minds of many individuals. Told in prose, it encourages everyone to follow their dreams. I just started her new book, Another Brooklyn, that comes out in August and is for an adult audience.

I Will Find You is written by a journalist who, years after being the victim of a crime, goes back to investigate the man who attacked her. It is an interesting look into how one woman chose to handle her situation to finally find some closure.
