Sara The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith.

That's what I was planning to read for the prompt. I know there are several other movies coming out this year whose books I've either read already or don't care to read. So I'm curious to see what else is nominated :)

Kirsten (kmcripn) The Girl with All the Gifts by M.R. Carey.

It's a unique take on the zombie trope.

Mike | 443 comments I nominate The Revenant: A Novel of Revenge.

It seems like it's been out forever, but according to imdb.com, it was released January 8, 2016.

Unless we're going by the Hollywood release date (12/16/2015), which would disqualify it. Let me know and I'll nominate something else if this wouldn't count.

Kirsten (kmcripn) I figured it hadn't been released this year as it won the Oscar for last year.

Good point. Consider it rescinded and I'll go with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them instead.

That was a cute book...but I am trying to figure out how they will expand it into a full movie? Not much plot there.

Haha! I've watched lots of movies that didn't have much plot! Can't say I've always enjoyed them.

It is J.K. Rowling's first screenplay. It is from the viewpoint of the textbook's "author" Newt Scamander as he scours the earth looking for Fantastic Beasts. Newt will be portrayed by Eddie Redmayne! Takes place in 1900s New York City.

Oscar-bait movies often get a limited release in one or two cities late in the year so that they qualify to be included in the nominations. Then they open officially in wide release sometime later.

I already read my movie book and didn't love it so I'm not nominating it I'd like to see either Girl on the Train or Girl With All the Gifts, I read both of those last year, loved them, and I'm excited to see the movies and it would be fun to talk about them! I don't even know which one of the two I want more
