Yes, CR. The content can be anything from the LGBT+ spectrum as long as it is appropriate for under 18 years old. We also have a book of the month thread that focuses specifically on LGBT+ other than M/M titles. Feel free to join in here or there.

If you have a title you want to discuss, you can either set up a thread yourself as described, or PM me to set it up for you. Any LGBTQ YA book is fine, even ones we have already had as Book of the month, although you can also go to that thread to comment.

I'll take a look, maybe start a thread for it - we can see if there's interest :)
It is this one? Dread Nation - I see it listed as both YA and horror. Interesting.
ETA: I started a thread for it and put your name in participants - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
In a Buddy Read, any member of the group may begin a thread to read a YA LGBT book of interest.
Please title the thread with the book and author. In the first box please put the following information (You can copy-paste this list and substitute your info):
*Link: A link to the book (and ideally also cover).
*About the book: Either a copy of the blurb or a brief statement about content and interest to the group.
*Cautions: If there is content you are aware of that might be problematic, please list it here (eg. self-harm, suicide, loss of a parent, abuse, violence, on-page sex)
If you are not sure whether something will be a problem either err on the side of caution and list it, or PM me. If listing it is a spoiler, put the issue into spoiler tags like this (view spoiler)[- reveal of physical abuse (hide spoiler)]. (see below for how.) Then those who have triggers or concerns can check for themselves. The leader of the read can also add to this info if it comes to your attention later.
Then, any members who are interested in reading (or rereading or discussing) the book can sign up on the thread to join in. You may choose to keep a list of participating readers in the information message box, and update as people join in.
Usually, members agree on a start date for reading, and then each read at their own pace, which always varies. Deciding this is up to those "buddies" involved on the thread. An end date for openly discussing the whole book without spoiler tags can be agreed on, so you're not waiting on someone who falls way behind.
The readers post updates and comments, using spoiler quotes (see below) where necessary until everyone has finished the book. This is particularly important for people commenting on a book already read. Please be courteous about the reveals. But also be aware that discussions may reveal book content, especially if you join in late.
After reading, discussion can be none, brief, or long. This is your buddy read. Keep it kind and YA-friendly, and otherwise there are no real constraints.
Threads will remain open for comment after the read is done.
To use spoiler-hiding tags: these are html codes, like for italics. Write before the spoiler <*spoiler> but with the asterisk removed. And at the end <*/spoiler> also without the star. (view spoiler)[And the contents will be hidden. This works for text, images and links, if desired. (hide spoiler)]
If you are not sure whether a book is YA or NewAdult (NA - 18+ content) please check with a moderator before starting the thread. We stay on the okay-for-under-18's level in this group.
I hope we'll get some interest, and have fun.
