Book II is a short little section seemingly bridging the gap between graduation from Brakebills and their adventure in Fillory. Q manages to make an ass of himself. I'm not surprised. And honestly, I don't even care. Why is his character so... blah?
I'm not sure that anything about this part was even remotely interesting. Of course they're going to Fillory...
Oh wow... I mean I know I really don't like Alice but come on Quentin... What a dick move! Janet of all people too when he knows how Alice feels about her and Alice even said she thinks Janet would go after Quentin. Bad! And then he has the cheek to be upset when Alice hooks up with Penny! No no no Quentin you don't get to react like that. She can do whatever she wants now!
I really wish this book had multiple points of view in it because I would love to get inside the others heads and see what they are really thinking and feeling about everything.
I'm excited for Fillory. I am so ready!

Now I didn't mind Quentin before but what a colossal douche... And all the excuses he made after he cheated on her? Gross. And then he got mad at her for sleeping with Penny (which I really doubt her taste cuz Penny... Really?) but regardless they were broken up because he cheated!!! And he has the audacity to be mad?!?
What a sad miserable little human.
I would have liked Alice but have no idea what she sees in Quentin. The guy is a total loser. Her decision to be with him undermines her character completely. Even adult Penny would have been a better choice.
