Hi, thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself on this British writers group.
I am an Englishman, currently living and writing from just outside Barcelona Spain.

I write books that many call young adult, although I have many adult readers who have read and enjoyed all my books.

I now have four books. The first two are in the fantasy series, The Flight of the Griffin, which was longlisted in the Chickenhouse/Times literary competition 2013. It follows five youngsters on a roller coaster adventure trying to save the world from falling into chaos; these are;

Chaos Storm


Which finds the crew of the sailing boat Griffin, once again pitted against demons and evil as they try to save the world.

I have also written historical fantasy books that follow the life of Uther Pendragon, father to Arthur.

The first book is called Shadowland:



it currently has 254 reviews on Amazon and over 400 here on Goodreads and covers the earlier life of Uther and the Druid Merlyn.
It has now been published as an audiobook on audible, narrated by the amazing Welsh actor Ioan Hefin - you can find it here;

I am just published a 'Stand-alone' sequel to this called 'The Shadow of a King.'



This will be published on May 28th 2016 and is already available for pre-order. This book is set fifteen years after the events depicted in Shadowland, and it already has a bunch of reviews, all five star!

How did you end up in Barcelona?

A long story, but I left my native England when I was 17 and have been traveling ever since! I've lived all over the world, but when I had kids decided to stay put for a while and Barcelona was warmer and nicer than Essex!

I really enjoy reading YA fantasy books. There are so many to choose from, but yours sound fascinating. I hope my library has copies. If I bought every book I wanted to read, my house would be full of books.

A good reason. I ended up in New Jersey, in the States, due to work, but have never managed to escape. My husband wants to retire here - and there's no way I'm doing that. He wants East Coast - I keep telling him it's muggy in the summer, and why would we want to do that?

Note: I was born in Souther California, and grew up in Mexico, so crave to get back to the kind of weather we're having here right now - but only a few days a year!

He will like it once he's used to it.
