I was looking for a gypsy story with a gypsy curse or evil spell , if the hero or victim is a doctor would be better , prefere it short .thanks

Hi, I am also interested in gypsies since living in the Midlands of England during the 50's,and they camped in an orchard down the road. Loved hearing their music at night!

A. M. Burrage's short story "Between the Minute and the Hour" (1922) deals with a gypsy curse. (The protagonist isn't a doctor, however.) I've read and liked it; it can be found in Charles Keeping's Classic Tales of the Macabre.

Although I haven't read it myself (it's on my to-read shelf), I know that Deborah LeBlanc's novel Grave Intent revolves around a gypsy curse.
