Yes, I love to reread my favorite books. I have a folder on my Kindle just so I can scroll through and find an old book I loved to read when I'm feeling down or when I've read a few lame books in a row and need a reminder of why reading is fun. This happens maybe 3-4 times a year.

There are also times I finish reading a phenomenal book and start again immediately because I read differently the 2nd time and get even more out of it and I don't want to leave the characters yet.

I used to more than I do now. Back when getting a new book required going to a bookstore or the library, rereads were more frequent. Now my to-read list is long and my kindle is full, so I usually go with something I haven't read. But there are books I would like to read again. That's actually what makes a 5-star book for me--it's something I would like to read more than once.

Everything you said word for word. Though like you said there are some books I would like to reread. You just get or notice things differently on additional reading or you want to experience the same feeling again it evoked in you in the first reading.

I rarely re-read a book or re-watch a movie. With so many great new books, I seldom have the time. Like you, there are a few I wouldn't mind re-reading and I do occasionally re-read a section of a book, especially if I'm reviewing a sequel and need to check something in the new book against something I remember from an earlier book. Actually I do read a few books over and over, but they're ones my granddaughter wants to hear endlessly like "Five Little Monkeys."

We have some books like that at our house too. Lots of Little Critter, Peter Rabbit, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I've read those and many other storybooks over and over and over again.

I used to re-read books more frequently, too. I usually re-read when I'm busy and can't afford to get carried away by a book... Even though I love it, it's easier for me to put down a book I've read before. I will also re-read a favorite after I've gone through several books that are really bland to me, and I'm craving to read something I know I will love! The other time I re-read is when a sequel comes out (although now I put off reading most series until all the sequels are out). I often will re-read favorite parts of books just because they're fun!
