Ballantine Adult Fantasy discussion

Just finished this one and it’s probably my favorite so far other than Peake’s Gormenghast series (which was one of the BAF precursors). I can definitely see the influence on Gaiman’s Stardust, and one of my favorite aspects was Mirrlees’ writing style, which is whimsical without feeling like a book for kids or a YA novel. If you’re looking for your next BAF title to read, Lud-In-The-Mist is worth considering.
