Meg Cabot expands her huge fan base with this slightly darker, more mysterious novel - without losing any of her signature heart and humor.

EM WATTS IS GONE.

Emerson Watts didn’t even want to go to the new SoHo Stark Megastore grand opening. But someone needed to look out for her sister, Frida, whose crush, British heartthrob Gabriel Luna, would be singing and signing autographs there—along with the newly appointed Face of Stark, teen supermodel sensation Nikki Howard.

How was Em to know that disaster would strike, changing her—and life as she’d known it—forever? One bizarre accident later, and Em Watts, always the tomboy, never the party princess, is no longer herself. Literally.

Shreya Jain (shreya0594) | 6 comments 1. Even with kind of a silly premise the book actually manages to be dark and funny at the same time.
2. It's a bit slow in the beginning but once you get sucked in, it's really difficult to put it down.
4. Well Harvey is an obvious favorite and for some reason I absolutely adore Lulu
5. This book has Meg Cabot written all over it right from the get go and it is every bit as lovable.

The plot was crazy and fun. After coming out of a coma, a video playing, tomboy, feminist and nerd type becomes a Victoria Secret like supermodel. Em goes through and identity crisis and learns what it is like to live everything she despises.

1. I liked it enough. I tired of Emerson's complaints and I had a few other issues with the book. I believe I will continue on with the rest of the series.

2. It was really slow at first and then it takes off and becomes pretty darn good. There’s a bit of mystery that kept me reading.

3. Besides Em, I loved Lulu. Lulu was often clueless, but oh so lovable and entertaining.

4. I have read other books by Meg Cabot. Avalon High is my favorite. In my opinion, "Airhead" was not Cabot's best. On the other hand, it was so Meg Cabot, although slightly darker and mysterious than some of her other novels. Airhead was stamped with Cabot's wit and one-liners. The characters were somewhat quirky and you simply had to love them.

Lulu said to make a connection, but I couldn’t connect with this book.

It fell flat for me. There was something missing. I can’t put my finger on it…was it the whining, the writing or the narrator for the Audible version? Her performance was good enough, but she didn’t sound like a teenager when she was voicing "Nikki."

Some parts were really good. I liked the plot, but the execution was boring and slow at times. I really liked the ending. Not because it was over, but because it was really good.I don't care enough about the MC to continue on with series, but I would like to know if she ends up with Christopher.
