Nick | 100 comments ...and you can choose one Urban Fantasy character to team up with to help you survive.

Who would you choose, and why?

Lanie (Lanies Book Thoughts) (lanieadamsk) | 17 comments I'd pick Dorina Basarab hands down. She's pretty much as tough as it's gonna get I think. Plus, shes over 400 years old, kinda has experience.

Who would you choose Nick?

Nick | 100 comments Well I started off thinking that Harry Dresden was the obvious choice, but he only has a finite amount of magic and his spells are so spectacular that they'd just attract more zombies...

Alex Verus would be a good option. With his ability to see the future we could just avoid the zombies, and he'd know which buildings were safe or contained food and supplies without having to physically search them all. Handy!

Lanie (Lanies Book Thoughts) (lanieadamsk) | 17 comments That is pretty awesome:) Seeing the future would definitely come in handy when trying to avoid zombies with the munchies.

Nick | 100 comments Yeah, I think avoiding combat is the way to go - it doesn't matter how good a fighter you are, sooner or later those pesky shufflers will get you by weight of numbers!

Lanie (Lanies Book Thoughts) (lanieadamsk) | 17 comments Most definitely, hide and seek is the best alternative at that point. :)

thalassic Avoidance does seem like a good strategy but with hordes of the undead running around there will be times that just wouldn't be possible.

I'm tempted to say Ray Lily both because he has some built in defenses and because even minor cuts with his ghost knife would hopefully be enough to take down the undead.

Overall though I'd have to choose Felix Castor because his magic is specifically tied to the dead. He seems naturally suited to dealing with a zombie apocalypse. Of course in his world zombies aren't so ravenous, but I think he could adapt.

Nick | 100 comments I think Felix would have his work cut out to exorcise a whole apocalypse-worth of zombies! He does have a natural talent for staying alive though, which is always useful. And even if the worst came to the worst, he'd be sure to have some appropriate gallows humour for the occasion... ;)

thalassic LOL Well, no I wasn't actually thinking that he'd exorcise ALL the zombies! Just a few here and there so that survivors could escape and start building some kind of safe place. I do appreciate some good gallows humor though.

Felix has used recorded versions of exorcisms too though, so if you could set up some means of broadcasting a recording then maybe you could take out all the zombies eventually. Intrepid survivors manning bicycle powered generators in shifts wiping out the zombie apocalypse without having to fire a shot! Peace, love, and well-developed leg muscles triumph!

"That's it, the zombie apocalypse is over!"
"Yeah, and would you just *look* at my quads..."
