Welcome to the challenge, Laurie! You can go as far back as 2012 for the current challenge. Your lifetime number is very impressive.
I reread one of the books on the list, The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood and realized that I had it set in the wrong location. I had it set in Canada but it is actually the US (or what was the US before a coup). So I need to reduce my destinations to 28.

#520 Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison
4 stars because I recognize the talent of the writing and the story was fairly riveting in places but I didn't understand much of the philosophical musings of the narrator.

#459 Cider With Rosie by Laurie Lee
3.5 stars - I was enthralled by some parts and bored by others, but I plan on reading more of his trilogy since I liked this one better as he got older.

Only 3 stars for a novel that had some really good parts but too much technical/scientific information weighed the story down. I think the idea was great but the execution needed some judicious paring down.

My first book by this author which I enjoyed. A great ending and beginning but the middle was kind of a mess.
