I hope Kosmina makes some appearances. She is a character I want to know more about. I wonder if this book will take place before or after she gets sick. In Sweet Ruin it was mentioned that a female Dacian was sick with the plague, I'm assuming that female is Kosmina.

I used to trust Kresley Cole implicitly. I'll probably read it because it's KC and it'll be out there but I'll definitely skim a lot. One thing I'm not worried about, King Lothaire. Nothing shocks the male. In fact I expect him to have a riot.

Agree. Anything for Lothaire, even MM. I expect his scenes to be the best part of the book. Salem escaped into Dacia as he came along with Bettina. I wonder if we'll be treated to his cockney comments. I trust him to wreck Dacia and try Lothaire's temper.

Caspion is a demon from Abaddon. He was princess Bettina's best friend in "Shadow's Claim". It is implied that he went to the hidden realm of Dacia after Mirceo (prince of Dacia) invited him. When one enters Dacia, it is forbidden to leave. But Caspion says in Shadow's Claim that he had to flee because something changed between him and his sponsor. Consequently, the Daci send their assassin to find and kill Caspion. The assassin tracks him in Abaddon and accidentally meets the princess of the realm who conveniently is his Bride. The assassin is Trehan the Prince of Shadows. At the end of the book, Caspion leaves Abaddon and goes to The Plane of Lost Years.
Mirceo is a young vampire prince of Dacia and the head of the Castle Guard. We met him in "Lothaire". He hasn't frozen into his immortality yet but he's close. Lothaire says that he can hear Mirceo's erratic heartbeat. It's going to stop soon and with it his sex drive will disappear. So Mirceo f*cks whatever moves because he dreads the time when he loses his sexual ability.
If you haven't read these two books, you really must. They're both fantastic.

Mireco & Caspion, huh. So didn't see that one coming, lol. I don't usually read M/M; the exception being that one of my favorite authors writes one, then I'll read it. Thus far, this'll be the second M/M. Interested to see where it goes.

Also, hopefully KC will stick to MF for the rest of the series because MM or FF just doesn't do it for me (Not a homophobe btw, just not a fan of the genre).

As for the sick female in Louisiana, she can't be Kosmina. She's still in Dacia. But Lothaire said there's a sixth Daci prince/princess that's hidden. Viktor, Stellian, Trehan, Mirceo and Kosmina have hidden him/her but Lothaire found out. Maybe it's the sixth princess who is sick and so she'll be revealed. No one knows how to cure the plague. At least no one from the near earth realms. But what if someone from a far away realm had the cure? And here come the Morior. If they are the key to saving the vampire population then I guess both the Vertas and the Pravus would welcome them. They'll be the most popular kids in town so no need for war. The trick is to make them personally invested in finding the cure. I can smell Nix from a mile away.

+1 I'm so glad it's a novella. I'd actually like to read full length books about characters that I care about. Mirceo? Caspion? Can barely remember them.

hahahhahah My thoughts exactly:) That is actually why I am happy that they got a novella and not a full novel

Exactly! I haven't come to particularly care for either characters: I found Caspion just plain annoying most of the time and barely remember Mirceo because I read Lothaire and Shadows Claim almost 2 years ago.
I'm just gonna read this one for the overall plot (and Lothaire, of course, and clues about how Kristoff is doing) and probably never pick it up again like I did with Dreams of a Dark Warrior.

Why I got a feeling that Cole just jump into the wagon? Sometimes it irked me to know an author write about M/M in M/F series. Not that I'm homophobic, I'm just not a fan.

This book made me more interested in Kosmina, I really hope her book is the next Dacian novel. Does anyone else think the King of Sand will play a big role in her story? Either he will be an enemy or he will end up being her mate.

I wanted that too.. yes exactly we''ll have to wait atleast 4 years for her book.

When she saw Lothaire naked she traced away in embarrassement and he said she'll be forever comparing all other males to him. I wonder how the king of sands will measure up!

..."
4 years?:p hahhaha don't be so negative haha. I dont mind it being 4 years just as long as the books in between are awesome, I'm good ;).

Actually, it was mention on Simon and Schuster's Website, Shadow's kiss is scheduled to be released in November 2017. So, maybe we won't have to wait so long.

Cool! How many books in 2017 will that make it?

Here is the link of website."
Shadow's Kiss is listed under the IAD series. But then so is Shadow's Claim. Shadow's Seduction is not. Confusing. Isn't the Dacians a spin-off series? Of course the "Shadow" bit implies to the Dacians but is it confirmed that it's Mina's book?
And what's with the release dates? Are they changed daily? Now it says 2 November 2017

I understand that. And the whole blatantly sexual King of Sand and bashful Kosmina dynamic would be utterly adorable! But unless KC goes off on her own word, it still seems likely that Kosmina would be stronger, though King of Sand might equal her with his age. Remember, Emmaline was able to kick Lachlain across the room once (though it could be attributed to her Valkyrie side). On the other hand, I think Lanthe had hurt her hand trying to hit Thronos. Moreover, as KC had explained, Sorceri happens to be closest to humans and therefore weakest of all immortals, they can even die of injuries and illness. Even Lanthe's sorceri ex-boyfriend (Felix?) wore gold armor too, maybe because he physically needs that protection. I think Omort wore armor too, though I don't remember how physically strong he was. However, he did sword fight with Rydstorm (but he was also a millenium old). So to be honest, it all depends on KC, maybe he is half demon or something that makes him strong. But I'd rather KC not go against on her own words just to make that whole man-strong and female-weaker dynamic going.

Yeah, I am really curious about the cannibalism charge. I wonder if it will be like a Malkom scenario, where he was forced to kill his friend to survive. Could also explain why he is a hedonist, maybe trying to avoid his personal demons.

imho Lover at Last was bad and I read often M/M books. Not the best book to be introduced into the M/M universe.
Shadow's Seduction wasn't so bad but could have been better. Then again it's not about the pairing but the plot.
Prince Mirceo Daciano and his new friend Caspion the Tracker comb the streets of Dacia, drunkenly seeking out pleasures of the flesh. In what should have been a typical night, they coax a bevy of nymphs to bed. To impress their females, the demon and the vampire kiss on a dare.
Changes them forever
Once they finally break away from their soul-searing kiss, they find themselves alone—and shaken. Had they imagined their explosive chemistry? Obstacles—ranging from a death sentence, to exile on a war-torn dimension—threaten to destroy their lives, much less the vulnerable promise in that one kiss.
How long can they resist the fire that blazes between them?
Even if Mirceo can accept Caspion as his fated mate, the sensual vampire still must convince the stubborn demon that their bond is forever. And any royal Dacian union must receive the blessing of King Lothaire, an unpredictable and savage killer. . . .
