Hi everyone! So, I started a poll for our Book of the Month for September 2016 on the 23rd of August. The poll recently closed, and I am thrilled that 116 of you voted! I am also super excited to announce that our Book of the Month for September 2016 is This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab.

Now that we know our book, I would like to here your initial thoughts. Have you heard about this book? Was it one of your anticipated releases? Are you excited to read it? How do you think about the summary? etc.

I have not heard of this book but after reading the description it really does sound interesting. I'm not a big fan of fantasy books too much but it kind of reminds me of an episode of Supernatural that I really enjoyed. I hope I have time to read it this month. I'm a full time college student have to read 6 books for one English class but if I don't have time to keep up with it I'll put it in my TBR.

This Savage Song does sound interesting, and my library has it, so I placed it on hold.

Just bought it on the Kindle store, can't wait to read it! As soon as I read 'dark fantasy' in the summary, I was immediately interested. Plus it has received some really good reception.
I have never read any of Victoria Schwab's books so this will be super interesting!

I have read other books by V. E. Schwab but not this one. It looks interesting and I absolutely LOVE her Archived series and Shades of Magic series. From what I understand, Savage Song is the first of a series.

I'm getting ready to move but once I settle in to my new home, I'll see if my library has it! I'm excited to participate in this book club.

I adore Schwab's Shades of Magic series and bought Savage Song as soon as it came out...but had to put it off to finish my current reads...which are taking forever because school started back up. I can't wait to dive into SS!

I can't wait to get into this! I've been dying to read Victoria Schwab but other books keep getting in the way, lol! Plus I'm totally into the whole monster thing so can't wait to dig in! Hoping to pick it up this weekend.

I got this in the July Owlcrate box and it looks amazing. I think it'll be a great read.

Can't wait to read this one. I haven't read any Victoria Schwab book ever. So this would be interesting. Also this book sounds realllyyyy amazing. The back cover for some reasons just reminds me of earlier seasons of SPN!!

"Dark" fantasy...I'm in!

Victoria Schwab has been on my radar forever; can't believe This Savage Song will be the first of her books I'll finally get to! Hurray for book clubs, forcing my hand :)

Also, I've been loving duologies - when the author/publisher knows the story can be told in 2 books without a lot of filler nonsense I applaud the restraint (especially in today's market, it's easy to sell out for trilogies and longer series, even when your story cannot support that much page time).

Can't wait to chat with you all about this one throughout the month!

I got this book through Edelweiss as an eARC back in January and it has been sitting in my Kindle the whole time, so this will give me an excuse to finally read it and stop procrastinating! Haha! Very interested to start reading it and see if it's as good as the synopsis :)

I read it last month and I can wholeheartedly recommend it :) The story is very unique and you'll just adore the main characters. Enjoy the read, guys!

I'm so excited to read this one! I've heard good things about it and it's just my kind of book! I love dark books with some fantasy and a good plot, so I can't wait to start it! It'll be my first Victoria Schwab book as well.

I've read A Darker Shade of Magic by this author and struggled to get into it to begin with. I think that had more to do with me being extremely busy at the time though, rather than the fault of the book. So I'm excited to try something else by her!

I very much like Schwab, or at least I loved A Darker Shade of Magic. This Savage Song sounds pretty great. Hopefully I'll be able to find myself a copy by the end of the month-I'm not sure I can afford to buy one. But I'll try my best, and I'm pretty excited.

I'm glad my library has this book and I've placed a hold on it. The summary sounds sooooo amaza-balls. Can't wait to get started1

V.E. Schwab is such a dynamic writer. I just finished Vicious a couple of days ago and was blown away. I really loved A darker shade of magic as well. Can't wait to dive into Savage Song!

v.e Schwab is such an awesome author !! The more books of hers i can read the better :) a darker shade of magic blew me away and so did a gathering of shadows ! I was and still am very excited for this savage song . Couldnt be happier !

I've almost finished it and I really like it!

I finished it today, and I LOVED IT. SO good! I really want book 2 now!

I'm almost finished verse 2. I read two or three books during any given period, so it takes me longer.
