Yay, Katelyn!! Glad you're joining us! :)

Sorry to hear about the narrator, Jen. :(
I'm on page 74, 21% in. The tech is really cool to read about although plugging a device directly in your head is icky. The ads are like Minority Report. I don't think that tech is far off.

I didn't get much reading time yesterday, super busy day, but I did get up to Chapter 3, page 31. Yes, Karen, I thought the same thing about plugging something into the back of your head. I love the world building in this already, Dan Wells is really great at that!
I had such bad insomnia last night, I picked this back up in the wee hours and read until 4:30 am. Oy.
I'm on page 164, 47%. And wow, the world building IS incredible! At first I was seeing a bunch of bratty girls, but now things are getting interesting. I assumed they (view spoiler)
I'm pleasantly surprised that I'm enjoying this as much as I am. :)

I'm now up to page 114, 32%. I am really liking this one! I'm really intrigued what is going on with that drug! That last big scene (with the cars) was so freaky!!
I do think the girls are somewhat bratty, definitely naive and unaware of the real world for sure. They make me think of the kids of 90210, actually (not the twins from Minnesota, the other kids who are super rich and spoiled.) But I do like Marisa, I think she has a good heart, she's just young.

I'm now up to page 211, or 60%. Some of this is slow going, I think mainly some of the tech has my eyes glazing over. But I'm still fascinated with the story. What a cautionary tale to our society! But I think Marissa just made a big mistake.
I finished a couple of days ago. :-D
Overall, it was a decent read for me. The tech was really cool for sure! And scary!
I mostly just glazed over from the tech. And also for the scenes where they're playing their video game. I just didn't see that the video gaming was a part of the story itself, so I skimmed those parts. Maybe that's the reason I finished so quickly. ;)

There are no set chapters per day, we just read at our own paces and start each post with how far along you are, i.e., Chapter #, %, using spoilers where needed. Have fun!
