I'm going to nominate The Whirlwind in the Thorn Tree by S.A. Hunt. I'm rerreading this book over again because I was so compelled to read it at breakneck speed I may have missed a few nuances. Super fantasy read that is part Stephen King's "Gunslinger" series and part David Eddings novel.

Unfortunately, it's the second in a series and we are trying to limit to first in a series (or stand-alones) so that readers are not excluded. Like I said in my last post, I will try to make sure that is mentioned when we open nominations from now on. I really hate feeling like the bad guy shooting down nominations, especially for books I want to read.
