I read chapter one and it was quite bizarre. I will get back to it Monday.

I like bizarre. Can't wait to start! I've been wanting to read Haunted by this author for a long time. Hopefully I'll get a good idea of how he writes.

This book is crazy. I listened to the first 1/4 on audiobook. Very entertaining.

I listened to Invisible Monsters Remix on audio and loved it. I hope you guys like it as much as I did! :)

I'm having a lot of trouble getting into it.

I haven't started. I'll get to it tonight.

It skips around in time alot. Not just by the chapter either, chapter two is telling about one specific event and skipping around in time by the paragraph or even sentence.

Hmm. Just started ch1 and I sure am laughing alot.

Lol. At least the narrator warns us that it will be some kind of chaotic mess. Still not sure if the narrator is a guy or girl, but I'm enjoying it so far.

Ok. So she's a girl...lol. I pretty much flew through some of the chapters. I stopped at ch4. Are u still struggling with it?

I stopped for the night, I will get back to it tomorrow though.

Ok, I stopped at chapter four also. I'm getting a little more into it now and getting used to the choppy story structure. I liked chapter three.

Yay! Im glad. Im liking it so far. If ch3 was about how she met Brandy, I thought that was pretty cool too. Kinda sad that because of her disfigurement, she found out who her true friends were.

Wow. Ch7...TMI!

Persistence really pays off with this novel. Don`t give up.
I loved the way Palahniuk messes with the reader but keeps things getting more and more interesting.

Yes, it was during Thanksgiving dinner. I pretty much lost my appetite...lol.

I just picked it back up and I'm only on chapter six so I don't know yet. How far in are you? I'm at 24% and plan on sticking with it until first break in a couple hours. Do you want a check point to stop and discuss or just use spoiler tags?

I thought you where talking about her husbands gay porn and the self sucking pictures that he claimed to have for work. I can tell you right now that whoever it was in the book that said every guy has tried it is wrong. Gross. I have seen someone doing it though, it's a funny story if you want to here it.

Oh gosh...ok, I'll hear it:) Im on ch12 which is like 40%. Why don't we read til 50% and discuss. I won't comment til then.

I'm going to tell it like it is part of this book. Here go's.

Skip back to high school, I'm hanging out with a group of guys at Rob and Danny's house. Rob and Danny where not really my friends just guys I hung out with because they always had drugs.
Skip to us watching a horror movie in the living room with six guys that I can remember passing a bowl around. It's a dark movie and other than a few flashes of light every once in awhile the room is dark.
Skip to someone doing the lighter and can't find it so he gets up and turns the light on.
Skip to rob sitting in the corner with just his shirt on sucking himself.

Skip forward a few months, our maybe backwards? It was a long time ago and im not sure. Same group of people, drinking and smoking weed.

Skip back a couple hours to Danny probably snorting something because he was way more fucked up than the rest of us.

Skip to him seeing a five gallon bucket on the ground and flipping it over and climbing up on it. (Barely) then thrusting his hips and saying (slurring) this is how you do it.

Skip back to the beginning of summer to Danny getting a summer job on a cow farm.

Skip back to Danny on the bucket and me laughing and asking "do what?" And Danny repaying "fuck a cow, you gatta stand on a bucket"

Skip to a guy we called beaver because he had a unibrow, buckteeth and the body shape of a beaver. My parents thought it was a sexual joke nickname but he really did look like a beaver. Exclaiming "it's true, I watched him do it!!"

Oh gross! I hope he really didn't do that to a cow!

Good job on telling the story like the book. Now I have something to think about on my way to work...not that I want to think about it, but its kinda like a pink elephant.

Skip to a few years later after we graduated. I no longer associate with either of these guys but I'm living with my buddy William in a trailer that my parents use to rent and William is hanging out with Rob and his girlfriend sherri.

Skip to William waking up to sounds of a struggle and catching Rob strangling sherri on the kitchen floor then pulling a knife on William when he breaks it up

Skip to rob getting busted for some traffic violation and the cop finding a portable meth lab in his trunk.

Skip to me seeing Danny for the first time in years and him looking about 80 years old and asking me if I want to smoke crack with him.

And that's the story of Rob and Danny. Skip to chapter 17

Yea when they got into heavy drugs I didn't want to be anywhere around them. I assumed the cow story was made up at the time but at that point I really didn't know what he was into. Can't believe I bought weed from those guys, and it was never laced with anything.

I don't read on weakens but after today I'm on third shift which means staying up all night by myself on weekends. I'm pulling an all nighter tonight to shift schedules but I will probably be to tired to read maybe tomorrow I will read some.

Ok I just finished chapter 7. All I want to add is that sometimes a straw is involved.

Its all good. I'm pretty tired too. Just got done work and I just wanna lay down. If I'm not there by tonight, I'll be there tomorrow-at 50%.

Ok ch12..talk about the weirdest Christmas ever. I thought Thanksgiving was bad! Ok, what's the next holiday?...lol. It can't get any worse for this poor girl, can it?

Don't worry, I have never seen that one done! I think I heard about it in the erotic enchanted group here on goodreads. They have a folder for definitions of sexual terms, some are pretty nasty. Others are funny.

I planned on hitting it tonight since I'm close but my paperwhite died on me so I'm reading on the kindle keyboard. Hopefully I remember to plug it in when I get home so I can read it tomorrow night. (I'm on third shift now)

Ok, I'm at 47% chapter fourteen. Yea that is definitely a Christmas to remember. I'm confused about one thing though, did he die from the aerosol can exploding or aids?

I think the can disfigured him, then he ran away and somehow died of aids. What did u think of her fiance being the guy her and Brandy have been with the whole time? I love it that she keeps putting estrogen pills and other things in his drinks to secretly destroy him!

That confused me also.
