BUT I finally got to one of these gatherings! Book conversation, author talk, library tour, eat, book talk, author mentions, eat, art museum, book talk, conversation, tour the zoo, eat -- get the idea? And people who are old, dear friends -- even those one had never met in person previously. Lovely weather. Wonderful hotel choice. Reading aloud among friends with champagne, cheese and chocolates on hand -- I mean -- REALLY -- how scrumptious can a gathering BE? I guess you can tell it was a truly grand experience! Try to make next year if you can at all possibly do so -- you will LOVE it.
