I was just listening to this morning's Today programme on Radio 4 and heard a nice interview with Adam Sisman where he shared some anecdotes about PLF and talked about the letters collection. The programme sometimes puts out audio clips as "highlights" on the BBC iPlayer, so fingers crossed they do the same with this!

Book Review: “Dashing for the Post: The Letters of Patrick Leigh Fermor”, selected and edited by Adam Sisman. Publ. John Murrray, £30.
A new collection of some of the 5,000 to 10,000 letters written by PLF, many over the decade that saw the building of his house at Kardamyli in Greece. Robin Hanbury-Tenison describes this book as “… the wit, the humour and the dazzling intelligence make this for me, the, the most unputdownable book of the year”.
