Juanita (juanitav) | 744 comments Here you can share with others what political memoir you are reading or have read this month.

After this last week, I have nothing pithy to say. ;-(

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 643 comments I finished I Am Malala: The Story of the Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban last night. As I've probably said elsewhere on this board, this was the category that I was most dreading. I liked the book, but it took quiet a while for me to get through it.

poshpenny | 1916 comments I listened to I Am Malala, but am using that for my unfamiliar culture book. For this I chose Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah. I've really been looking forward to it, and sadly it now seems disturbingly timely to read about apartheid. I just have to wait a couple more day until it drops.

Thanks to your recommendation, I just downloaded Born a Crime from my library (just released today!) for this prompt.

poshpenny | 1916 comments I'm listening to it now. I HIGHLY recommend this one on audio so you can hear him speak All. The. Languages. I'm really enjoying it. It's interesting on human, cultural, historical and current events levels.

Marilyn (marilyn357) | 143 comments My LIfe by Golda Meir - She was a truly amazing woman who sacrificed a great deal for her country, but is was important to her that the State of Israel survive and thrive. Did you know she went to high school in Wisconsin?
