Loved this book, but I have one quibble. The duplicate pen. Why would Vance have a duplicate. It seems to me that only reason was for Bosch to make the discovery of the missing pen in the photos. Was this lazy writing? Or would there have been a legitimate reason for there to be two pens? Did this bother anyone else?

I dont' think it was Vance who had the duplicate pen, it was Gloria [??name], the secretary who killed him who had the duplicate. At least that's how I remember it.

Emily Hooper Yes! This bothers me! I finished it this weekend & not sure if I read this part too fast or ?? Is the pen she replaced a fake?
