I passed my reading goal, but I set a lower goal as I knew I'd be busy this year.

I lowered my goal to 55 this year since time is short with a toddler to care for. I am 2 away from my goal and I'm happy with that!

Tonight I am going caroling with our local community choir. Otherwise, no plans. We are remodeling our dining room so I'm hoping it will be far enough along to start painting or at least choose the colors. Any ideas?

I have had a rough past couple of months and have lowered by goal so that I meet it. Still working on it.

Working - but that can be fun sometimes in EMS.

Not really...maybe go see the town's Christmas parade or go to some antique stores to hunt for a treasure.

Tonight (Friday Dec 2) we're going to a friend's holiday party.
Saturday at noon is one of my F2F book club meetings - we have lunch and sangria!
Saturday evening is my company Christmas party.
Sunday I'll be writing Christmas cards and wrapping presents to ship to Texas.
Gosh, I'm tired already and the weekend hasn't even really started yet!

Last night I went to our town's Moonlight Madness shopping extravaganza (which is kind of small 'cause it's a small town!), and it was fun to see people out shopping on a Friday night. And we drove around and looked at lights
And tonight I'm going to the River Brass Christmas Concert at our local community college. I think it will get me more into the Christmas spirit :)

Our holiday cards are made, now we have to address envelopes and write a little something in the cards.

It's going to be a small Christmas due to finances, but I should get most of it done this week.

Ummmm, nothing done here....yikes!

Hot toddies, chicken soup and lots of rest.

Honey and tea for sore throat, chicken soup, 7up. Does anyone use essential oils? I use Thieves oil to ward off colds and flu. Works.

Travel more.

never mow my lawn and let it go natural

If you mean it literally, maybe a little. A good cover will make me pick the book up and check it out. If the cover art is poor, I may not even notice it. But my final decision will be based on the story line.

Everyone says I am, but I'm not.

Unfortunately I do most of the time. I cheesy cover says cheesy story to me. I have been wrong though, so I try not to do it too much.

Most definitely! It drives my husband crazy.
Thursday, Dec 16: Do you prefer a relaxing vacation or an "on-the-go-see-and-do-everything" vacation?

I agree with ilikeboox. It depends on the vacation location.

Really, if I can just take some books with me I'm happy.

I actually really like where I am right now - 66. Looking forward to retirement, but still enjoying my work. Hubby and I have time for some travel and just enjoying life.

BC, I'm with you. Only 6 more years to go to retirement. Kids are grown and grandkids are so much more fun. I'm good where I am.

I was happy that my 3 granddaughters seemed to love their mermaid blankets. They wore them all day.

My brother, husband and I left San Antonio after lunch with our youngest brother and his family. We drove to Dallas to stop for the night and checked into our hotel. Then we started driving around looking for an open restaurant on Christmas day. We were about to give up and stop at a Seven Eleven for some cheese and crackers when we noticed a little sports bar with a lot of cars. One of the more "interesting" Xmas meals we've ever had! When we got back to our hotel they had set out "milk and cookies" for everyone.
