I made a conservative goal at the beginning of the year, then raised it. I'm still way ahead of my goal.
I raised my goal by ten books and I'm five short at the moment. I think I'll make it, though.

I lowered my goal to 55 this year since time is short with a toddler to care for. I am 2 away from my goal and I'm happy with that!

Tonight (Friday Dec 2) we're going to a friend's holiday party.
Saturday at noon is one of my F2F book club meetings - we have lunch and sangria!
Saturday evening is my company Christmas party.
Sunday I'll be writing Christmas cards and wrapping presents to ship to Texas.
Gosh, I'm tired already and the weekend hasn't even really started yet!

And tonight I'm going to the River Brass Christmas Concert at our local community college. I think it will get me more into the Christmas spirit :)
An afternoon party on Sunday for the ladies of the neighborhood. We are doing a sort of gift exchange where we bring three gifts and get three. It's our first time doing it. We used to do an ornament exchange.Our holiday cards are made, now we have to address envelopes and write a little something in the cards.

I actually really like where I am right now - 66. Looking forward to retirement, but still enjoying my work. Hubby and I have time for some travel and just enjoying life.

BC, I'm with you. Only 6 more years to go to retirement. Kids are grown and grandkids are so much more fun. I'm good where I am.

My brother, husband and I left San Antonio after lunch with our youngest brother and his family. We drove to Dallas to stop for the night and checked into our hotel. Then we started driving around looking for an open restaurant on Christmas day. We were about to give up and stop at a Seven Eleven for some cheese and crackers when we noticed a little sports bar with a lot of cars. One of the more "interesting" Xmas meals we've ever had! When we got back to our hotel they had set out "milk and cookies" for everyone.
