Hi Abbie! Welcome to the tug-of-war. Be careful, the Peanuts gang looks small but they've pack alot of punch.

Here are your choices:

You -- this has been on my radar for some time. If you end up reading, please let me know what you think

A Conspiracy of Faith -- I really enjoyed the first one in this series and have yet to get back to it. This one looks interesting.

P.S. I Love You -- just for something different than the other two books.

I hope one of these works out for you. Enjoy!

Ghost in the Stacks Thanks, I am going to go with You!

Hullo Hullo!

Could I please have 3 picks from my shelf?

TIA :)

message 10: by Sassafrass (new)

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 603 comments Hey, Tien!! Welcome to Tug-of-War!

You've got an eclectic list of books, but unfortunately most of them are ones I'm not too familiar with. So, I decided to go with a different approach for picking. Hopefully this works out.

The Drifter by Anthea Hodgson The Drifter -- this one has the highest rating on your shelf. Let's see if you agree.

Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick Black Ice -- this one is in the middle of the pack rating wise.

Where the Sea Takes Us A Vietnamese - Australian Story by Kim Huynh Where the Sea Takes Us: A Vietnamese - Australian Story -- this has the lowest rating on your shelf, but it sounds so incredibly interesting. I wonder if you'd rate it differently.

BONUS PICK:
Daughter of the Blood (The Black Jewels #1) by Anne Bishop Daughter of the Blood -- Anne Bishop is one my favorite fantasy writers and this series is no different. Extremely intricate and well written, I fell into this story right from the start. It was a *5 STAR* read for me when I read it several years ago. So I had to add this one. I would love to know what you think.

Ok, there you go. I hope one of these works out for you

Thanks, Sassy.

I'll have to go with Where the Sea takes Us as it's a library book I borrowed the other week and will have to return soon :)

I actually own Daughter of the Blood so I will read it one day ;)

message 13: by Sassafrass (new)

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 603 comments Hi, Angela! Welcome to the Tug-of-War. Glad you could stop by. Here are a few picks from your shelf:

Breathing Lessons by Anne Tyler Breathing Lessons -- this one is the one that's been on your shelf the longest

Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi Homegoing -- this one is the highest rated on yourself at 4.41 Stars

Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn Sharp Objects -- This one was the most twisted of all the books on your shelf (ok, so I don't know that for sure, but this one WAS really twisted...and creepy...and messed up...I couldn't stop reading it).

Ok, so there are your picks. I hope one of those will work out for you. Enjoy!

message 14: by Angela (new)

Angela | 226 comments Thanks! I think I'll go with Homegoing. I've heard so many good things about it.

message 19: by Sassafrass (new)

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 603 comments Hi Amy! Thanks for stopping by. It's good to see you again!

I'm going to mix things up again since I've just recently given you picks. Let's see how this goes. I randomly picked three numbers out of the 51 you have on your shelf.

#41: A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry A Fine Balance -- it has a nice high avg rating of 4.34

#26: The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon The Sun Is Also a Star -- I've heard really good things about this one with it being a nominee for the 2016 GR choice awards.

#14 Britt-Marie Was Here by Fredrik Backman Britt-Marie Was Here -- a lot of my GR friends have rated this one 5 stars, so it looks like a pretty good pick.

Ok, so the randomizer did all the heavy lifting but it looks like the 3 books that were picked out were pretty solid picks. I hope one of these works out for you.

I'm a pretty big fan of audio myself. This year, I'm going to get a log of just the audiobook I've read. I think last year it was over 100.

I've never tracked that, but I bet I listen to at least that many. I love being able to listen while doing other things (surfing the web, driving, watching a sporting event, etc.).
