Wow. How unfortunate and scary. Reminds me of other authors who have had similar fates for writing controversial books such as Salman Rushdie and Paulo Coelho. Thanks for the share.

An article Elif Şafak just wrote on freedom of speech oppression currently going on in Turkey titled "The Silencing of Writers in Turkey". Very disheartening and disturbing info included. FYI
