message 6: by Stacy (new)

Stacy Yes, me too. I am starting with Pike's Peak, if i get beyond that i will update my challenge.

message 7: by Cath (new)

Cath Russell | 45 comments That's my plan too, Stacy. That way I can relax and not stress about it and if do better, well that's good too. :-)

message 8: by Stacy (new)

Stacy Good plan! : )

message 9: by Diane (new)

Diane Will (inver) | 60 comments So does that mean if you reach the twelve you can transfer them over to Mount Blanc (24)?

message 10: by Cath (new)

Cath Russell | 45 comments Yes, I think so. I've seen other people do that and the 12 will count towards Mont Blanc. :-)

message 11: by Cath (new)

Cath Russell | 45 comments Yes, I think so... I've seen other people doing just that. And likely as not I will be joining you on Mont Blanc. :-)

message 12: by Diane (new)

Diane Will (inver) | 60 comments Good oh...see you there...lol

message 13: by Cath (new)

Cath Russell | 45 comments I think you will. And let's see how fast I can get there... ;-)

MaryAnn (EmilyD1037) Good luck, Cath. Just for fun, I thought I would share this info with you. On all but the cloudiest days, I can see the real Pike's Peak ! We can do this !

message 15: by Cath (new)

Cath Russell | 45 comments Oh my gosh, MaryAnn... I am *so* envious. How fab to actually live in Colorado and to be able to see Pike's Peak. Wonderful.

message 16: by Cath (new)

Cath Russell | 45 comments My first book for Mount TBR 2017 is Blood Will Tell by Dana Stabenow. Review here:

Leslie I read my first Stabenow last year but it wasn't a Kate Shugak book. I will have to try that series!

message 18: by Cath (new)

Cath Russell | 45 comments I didn't think a lot of the 1st. book in the series but subsequent books have been pretty good. Good sense of 'Alaska'.

Cath Russell | 45 comments Yes, I've started at long last. :-)

message 25: by Diane (new)

Diane Will (inver) | 60 comments Oh well done...hubby has read that trilogy Black House, Lewis Man and Chess men. I should give them a go too.

message 26: by Cath (new)

Cath Russell | 45 comments They're so brilliant, Diane. You'll be transported to the Isle of Lewis. My husband is now reading them too. lol

Diane Will (inver) | 60 comments Just finished 'The Black House' will def be reading the other two in the trilogy.

message 28: by Cath (new)

Cath Russell | 45 comments Glad you liked The Black House, Diane. The Lewis Man is equally as good! By the way I saw a black house on TV this week... a reconstructed settlement on Lewis.

message 29: by Diane (new)

Diane Will (inver) | 60 comments I have to say I googled to see if the story of the cull of birds was real and found a you tube snip of it....

Cath Russell | 45 comments Yes, I gather it all happens just like in the book. Wow.

message 31: by Cath (new)

Leslie Halfway up! Good going :)

message 33: by Cath (new)

Cath Russell | 45 comments So I am... didn't realise. LOL Suspect I'll have to upgrade to Mont Blanc at some stage as 12 is perhaps a bit too easy.

message 34: by Cath (new)

Cath Russell | 45 comments My books 7 and 8 for Mount TBR are, The Cloud Roads by Martha Wells and On the Shores of the Mediterranean by Eric Newby.

Reviews here:

http://read-warbler.blogspot.co.uk/20...

message 35: by Diane (new)

Diane Will (inver) | 60 comments You are progressing to Cath...I for some reason had two books added to my total on home page and wondered why I was 2 ahead at one point...! Very strange.

message 36: by Cath (new)

Cath Russell | 45 comments I've read 9 now and reckon I'll be joining you on Mont Blanc very soon, Diane.

message 37: by Diane (new)

Diane Will (inver) | 60 comments You better fill in the gap then...you only have 8...lol.

message 38: by Cath (new)

Cath Russell | 45 comments I tend to wait until I've done a review on my blog before I post here but I will change my list at the top. :-)
