January Group Read (2017)- Nominations [CLOSED]

YES! I second that! Good Choice.

That book has previously be nominated and is not eligible this month. If you weren't aware, there's a list of books at the top of the discussion that have previously been chosen.

Time is running out. You only get to "second" two books. You have chosen to give your two "seconds" to three books.

It's been an enlightening discussion around a book that doesn't seem to be loved by many.
As always, you are able to nominate one book and up-vote two others. Please DO NOT nominate a book that you've seen someone already nominate in this thread. Instead, you can give it 1 of your 2 upvotes so I know that you are also interested in reading it. Of course you can only nominate past Man Booker winners (not books that were short or long-listed).
In the past we have read the following, so they are not eligible for January:
-The God of Small Things
-The Blind Assassin
-The Line of Beauty
-The Luminaries
-The Narrow Road to the Deep North
-A Brief History of Seven Killings (last year's winner)
-The Sellout (this year's winner)
-The Sense of an Ending
-Hotel du Lac
Once again, I'll start the nominations with Anne Enright's The Gathering which won in 2007.
Nominations will close on December 30th @ midnight PST. Winner will be announced on the 31st.
