My goals for 2017!
Read 20 Adult Fiction Books
Read 10 Nonfiction Books
Finish 20 series
Read 80 books off of my shelves
Read 25 books off of my Kindle
Read 200 books total for the year
I think these are pretty good goals, and pretty similar to last years. I cut down the number of series I want to finish, though, and added the Kindle books. Kindle Unlimited books won't count for this goal, I want to read books I've bought and had on my Kindle awhile!
I have many other goals and ideas and challenges and things that are book or BookTube related, but I will have a video on all that posted on my channel soon. When I do, I'll post the link.

I think that's the ongoing challenge for all of us, LOL!

2. Finish or Re-read series read in 2015

4. Read books from OT or OA list that I haven't read in a long time and have new books coming out

I'm considering adding Paradise Lost as well -- I read a handful of books this year that referenced it and got a copy for Christmas. We shall see. I've got a slew of huge books to get through.

And I will try to do these challenges while I do that:
ABC Challenge - 26 books
Series Challenge - finish 10 series
Travel Gnome Challenge - 20 books in different states, 3 in different countries (other than the U.S.)
NetGalley/Edelweiss Challenge - 25 books
2017 Movie Adaptations - 3 books
I think I'd like to reread Game of Thrones in 2017. And get through more of my TBR list of books I own!
And I'm going for 150 books again.

Wow, awesome goals all!! My reading goal is only going to be 50 books this year, boo! I have less reading time these days, but that's okay! I hope to publish 5-6 novels in 2017 and about that many novellas as well. They will all be in the same series, so that will keep me plenty busy ;)

5-6 novels?! You win.

This makes me so happy :)
This makes me so happy :)

*Read at least 217 books (it's 217 I'm setting my Goodreads reading challenge for, but if I read more, that will be awesome). That's a book more than my 2016 goal, which was 216 books. With how many books I've read this year, I could set it higher, I suppose. But I have some writing and daily life related goals I want/need to give attention to as wel, so I don't want to increase the number too much, since I'd rather reach the number early than be stressing over not reaching it come next December.
*Focus at least a large chunk of my reading on those books I've had on my Kindle for some time (which are a mixture of classics, indie books, and newer traditionally published books). I know new releases will get my attention sometimes, and I dare say new purchases will happen, and I'll want to read some of them immediately. But I'd like to put a dent in the list of books waiting on my Kindle patiently for their turn to be read. This is an ongoing one, like it is for most of us, by the look of it. ;)
*Do the A-Z title reading challenge again.

*perks up* New David Estes books?

And hoping to finish my novel this year too!

Awesome! Can't wait!

My more specific goal is to read every single book that I own but haven't read yet before I buy anything new. its about 270 books total. It's A lot, but I've decided to read what I have before buying anything new. It'll be tough since I love shopping for books!
I'm also going to read lots of library books so I can finish series that I don't own all the books to. Or if I find something that looks cool, but I won't let myself buy yet. ;D
Hope everyone's else's goals go great!

I do plan on reading a lot of manga & graphic novels, though. That'll really help, since they're pretty easy to read. I can finish an average sized manga in about 45-50 minutes.

That sounds like exactly what I did this year, Donna, and I really enjoyed my reading, even though I didn't hit the number of books I was aiming for. If I didn't like a book a picked up in the first 10 percent or so, I usually just put it down and moved on. It's ALL ABOUT the love of reading, just like you said!
