There have been some kids and adult ones posted on other challenge pages, so i would say no lol- it doesn't have to be strictly YA.
Valentine's Day is still a holiday yes lol, though most people wait for the day after because the chocolate goes on super discount lol.

The Accident Season had a lot going on; part romance and part paranormal mystery combined to create an atmosphere of surreal confusion and intense thrills. This is a great follow-up read for those who enjoyed We Were Liars or The Darkest Part of the Forest.
The big holiday here was Halloween. Each Accident Season occurs in October; in addition to the general atmosphere of spookiness from a possible ghost and definite mysterious injuries, Cara and her friends are planning for the town's biggest Halloween celebration ever seen.

I really need to read this one! I'm reading the arc for her newest book right now and it's super intriguing- I have no idea where it's going!

So
by Adriana Mather is as close to this one as I am going to get I think. It focuses in on more of an event than a holiday (I'm cheating!). We follow the same cast of characters from the first book as their school has just assigned them a project on The Titanic- during the same time week that the ship sank. When Sam starts seeing ghosts from the Titanic, things get weirder.
If you liked the first one, this one is just a good! I really want Adriana to keep writing books in this series.

I was so surprised when I heard about this one! I'm glad Mather continued writing as she seems to have some more dormant talent that was showing itself with her first book.
I'm glad to hear you liked it!
