I read comments that others had a hard time getting through this book. I own this book and I've read it before, a long time ago. I must admit that I, too, got bored with it when I tried to read it in the past. This time I listened to it. Tim Robbins read it and it made a huge difference to hear him act it out. By the end, I had enormous empathy for Gatbsy and yes, contempt for some of the other more shallow characters.

Stephanie C (the_book_lady) "Dandelion Wine" by Ray Bradbury taking place during the summer of 1928. This book is pure magic - of the sweetness of summer...new shoes, lime-vanilla ice-cream, cicadas that tell the temperature, picking dandelions to make bottled wine. Let yourself get lost in innocent times, and rediscover what it means to LIVE.
